Recover extension (plugin)
Here is the installation link on the WordPress site:
It is also available from the WordPress plugin download center by typing the keyword "Botnation" from your administration interface. From the extensions site, it is necessary to recover the zipped archive of the extension.
2. Install the extension
It installs like any other WordPress extension:
Either from your administration interface clicking on the icon " download " of the extension.
Either by downloading the zipped archive of the extension.
Either by depositing by FTP the dezippé folder of the extension in wp-content/uploads/extensions
3. Enable extension
Simply go to the extension dashboard and click the "enable" icon.
4. Configuring the extension
The configuration menu is located in the Settings submenu of the Wordpress administration interface.
To date, there are four parameters.
First, you must have built a Web Botnation chatbot and configure its parameters.
At the top right of the chatbotweb creation interface, click on the "enable" button.
Select "Add a website".
A configuration window appears.
Give a memorable name to the site.
Type precisely the url of the site by indicating well http:// or https:// in front of the url.
Check "Allow subdomains if the chatbot is to run on multiple subdomains. For example, in a multi-site Wordpress project, this option must be enabled.
A window opens with the web chatbot insertion code and the plugin configuration information.
Retrieve the "Application Key" and "Website ID" fields in the right section.
Click on "Save".
Return to the Wordpress interface and insert the 2 fields previously retrieved.
Check "Auto Start" if the chatbot should start automatically as soon as the visitor connects to the site. Otherwise, the chatbot will be visible closed, symbolized by an icon at the bottom right.
In the "Ref." field it is possible to start a specific chatbot sequence. For example, if a "home" sequence is created in the chatbot and specified in this field, it will start before the default sequence.
Save the configuration by pressing the "Save Settings" button.
5. Customize the web chatbot
To partially modify the appearance of the sculpin, click on "Settings" in the toolbar at the top.
"Persistent Menu" allows you to create a menu that will appear in the web chatbot at the bottom left of its interface. This allows you to create shortcuts to chatbot sequences.
"User input" allows to prohibit user input in case the chatbot is designed as a clickable interface.
"Avatar Name" is the name of the chatbot that will appear to the right of the avatar image.
"Image of the avatar" is the image of your catbot. It can be a portrait, a logo... The image must be square.
"Description" is the title of the chatbot.
"Theme color" changes the dominant color of the chatbot. This color can thus be adapted to the charter of the Web site.
